Job summary

Pathos Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced AV Events Lead to take onsite management and technical ownership of live events across client sites in Hong Kong. You will manage AV events technicians, coordinate pre-event planning, and ensure flawless delivery.

The role combines client relationship management with operational leadership, advising on best practices, risks, and continuous improvement, while working flexibly including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV event delivery, technical operations, live events, broadcast support, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including team supervision, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of AV and video-conferencing systems, including Crestron, Extron, AMX, Cisco, Zoom, and VMR platforms.
• Solid understanding of live event workflows, broadcast operations, fault management, and escalation processes.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and credibly.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during live events.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-hours event support.
• Fluent in both Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate AV, VC, broadcast, and event technology solutions.
• Advise clients on best practices, technical risks, operational constraints, and process improvements.
• Provide overall onsite management and technical ownership of live events across all client sites.
• Attend pre-event planning meetings and lead resource scheduling, crewing, technical briefings, live event delivery, and post-event debriefs.
• Manage the delivery of live broadcasts and hybrid/virtual events across client locations.
• Directly manage AV Events Technicians and collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure effective resourcing.
• Manage team rotas, annual leave, sickness cover, and scheduling to maintain continuous service coverage.
• Provide leadership, coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to the events team.
• Ensure all technical faults are logged, reported, escalated, and resolved in line with agreed procedures.
