Job summary

Intertek Greater China is seeking an experienced professional in Textile/Engineering with 7+ years in third party testing, product management, or compliance assessment within the retail supply chain to lead technical Softline initiatives. You will interact with clients and laboratories globally, support accreditation efforts, and assist training while aligning with global regulatory standards.

The role requires strong English and Chinese fluency, and a proactive, collaborative approach to drive

Qualifications

• University graduates in Textile Science or Engineering or related subjects.
• At least 7 years’ experience in third party testing service provider, product management, or compliance assessment within retail supply chain.
• General knowledge of global regulatory requirements on consumer products for apparel and footwear.
• Experience in handling retail supply chain quality assurance or certification programs in textile industry.
• Experience in designing product specifications for compliance with global safety regulations.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Be the key global contact for technical Softline goods related queries – clients and laboratories.
• Manage Intertek accreditation program for supplier test laboratory.
• Support employee training in technical areas within the business.
• Support GKAM and the Global and Regional sales team to secure ATIC opportunities to drive growth in the service line.
• Attend Technical Committee Meetings if required.

The Incumbent Will Be Responsible For The Following

Key Areas to focus

• Be the key global contact for technical Softline goods related queries – clients and laboratories
• Manage Intertek accreditation program for supplier test laboratory
• Support employee training in technical areas within the business
• Supporting internal and external stakeholders in technical queries
• Support GKAM, the Global and Regional sales team secure ATIC opportunities to drive growth in the service line
• Support necessary training/webinars/presentations in technical areas within the business
• Assist the clients in preparation of client policies, standards and manuals.
• Handle customer queries from a technical perspective- Regional and Global
• Response to request in a timely manner
• Interface with other members of management team within Intertek at all levels
• Share all necessary changes with the Intertek team in a timely manner, generate sales and inform our customers
• Review and provide comment on Global inter-lab correlation worksheet & results
• Attend Technical Committee Meetings if required
• Have an up-to-date understanding of future changes to the textile and apparel industry that may have an impact on the service line. Including but not exclusively product safety, international regulation, physical, labeling and chemical requirements and other related regulations.
• Raise the profile and confidence in the market of our Softline technical capability and delivery through interface with customers in a proactive way.

We are Looking for You with

• University graduates in Textile Science or Engineering or related subjects.
• At least 7 years’ experience in third party testing service provider or Product Management or Compliance Assessment within Retail supply chain.
• General knowledge in global regulatory requirements on Consumer Products for Apparel and Footwear.
• Experience in handling retail supply chain quality assurance or certification programs in textile industry.
• Experience in designing product specifications for compliance with global safety regulations.
• Great understanding in the operation of consumer products safety testing.
• Knowledge in textile performance tests.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin.
