Job summary

You will train and mentor staff, manage inventory and budgets, analyze sales data, ensure health and safety compliance, and address customer issues while contributing to management discussions for continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years minimum experience as Assistant Manager in a restaurant.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Experience with inventory management software and financial reporting tools.
• Food safety certification preferred.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
• Train and mentor new staff members and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Monitor budget and financial performance by analyzing sales data and making recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Handle customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Attend meetings with the management team to discuss operational issues and propose solutions.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback and conduct relevant training as necessary.
• Assist with staff scheduling and payroll management.
