Job summary

LEE TECH ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks an Assistant QS with a strong focus on material planning, procurement and site logistics in Hong Kong.

You will perform material take-offs from drawings, source quotes, issue purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules to keep site operations running smoothly and within budget. In this role, you will work closely with site engineers and supervisors to verify deliveries, track budgets and invoices, and maintain accurate material inventory records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience handling material take-offs, procurement, or QS support in construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with measurement tools (AutoCAD) is an asset.

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant QS with a strong focus on material planning, procurement, and site logistics. In this role, you will perform material take-offs from architectural and structural drawings, source quotes, issue purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and site supervisors to keep site operations running without material delays or budget overruns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precise material take-offs and quantity calculations based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements.




• Source, compare, and negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms across suppliers and vendors.




• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track order status from placement to delivery.




• Plan and schedule material delivery arrangements according to site construction phases and storage capacity.




• Liaise closely with site engineers and supervisors to cross-check delivery orders (DOs), verify delivered quantities, and report discrepancies, damages, or wastage.




• Assist in tracking project material budgets, verifying supplier invoices against delivered quantities, and preparing monthly payment claims.




• Maintain accurate material inventory records, procurement tracking sheets, and site delivery logs.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.




• 1–3+ years of experience handling material take-offs, procurement, or QS support in construction.




• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, cost comparisons); familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., AutoCAD) is an asset.




• Good understanding of standard construction materials, site logistics, and lead-time planning.




• Strong coordination, negotiation, and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and site teams.
