Job summary

YI HONG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Hong Kong seeks a diligent project support professional to assist in tender preparation, quantity take-offs, measurement verification, and contract administration to ensure accurate progress claims and payments.

The role involves coordinating with main contractor QS, suppliers and contractors, preparing documentation from tender to award, and performing drafting tasks to support project communications. Experience with ACMV systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing tender documentation and applying tender specifications.
• Ability to quantify quantities from tender documents and drawings.
• Strong coordination with Main Contractor QS, suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in verifications of measurements and progress claims.
• Experience supporting contract administration for variations.

• Certify and evaluate progress work, including variations under main and subcontract works.
• Prepare documentation from shortlisting to awarding contracts for procurement.
• Perform simple drafting tasks to support project documentation.

Job Summary

Support project management by preparing tender documentation, quantifying materials and work, verifying measurements, and managing contract administration to ensure accurate progress claims and payments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in preparing tender documentation by understanding and applying tender specifications to support successful bids
• Quantify Bill of Quantities (BQ) from tender documents and construction drawings to enable accurate variation claims
• Liaise effectively with Main Contractor Quantity Surveyors, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate tender and project requirements
• Take off quantities and participate in private and public project tenders to support cost estimation and contract bidding
• Verify measurements with clients to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in project scope
• Assess and submit monthly progress claims and recommend subcontractors’ monthly progress payments to maintain cash flow
• Certify and evaluate progress work done, including contract administration for variations under main and subcontract works to ensure compliance
• Prepare necessary documentation from shortlisting to awarding contracts to facilitate smooth procurement processes
• Perform simple drafting tasks to support project documentation and communication

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working with Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems to support related project requirements
