Job summary

Max Sight Healthcare Management Limited in Causeway Bay invites an Assistant Operations Manager to join our healthcare team. You will help oversee daily operations across facilities, coordinate staff across shifts, and ensure service continuity while maintaining patient care standards.

Reporting to senior management, you will monitor inventory, manage records, support quality assurance, and contribute to budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of healthcare operations, facility management or similar operational role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with healthcare management systems or similar software.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements and safety standards (Cap. 633 clinic licensing is a strong advantage).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands and willingness to support other departments.
• Preferred: eyecare/optical or specialised healthcare sector experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily operations of healthcare facilities and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support scheduling, coordination and management of staff across shifts for adequate coverage and continuity.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels for medical supplies, equipment and other materials; liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate operational records, documentation and reports; present findings to senior management.
• Assist in quality assurance protocols to ensure high-standard patient care.
• Support development and communication of operational procedures and best practices across the organisation.
• Liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams to address operational challenges and optimise service delivery.
• Contribute to budget monitoring and cost control initiatives within assigned areas.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance of facilities and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff members.
• Respond to and resolve operational issues and staff concerns in a timely manner.
• Perform other operational tasks as directed by senior management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline

2-4 years of healthcare operations experience

Organisational and time management

Excellent communication skills

MS Office proficiency and healthcare management systems familiarity

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards (Cap. 633 licensing advantageous)

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline
• 2-4 years of experience in healthcare operations, facility management or a similar operational role within a healthcare setting
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with healthcare management systems or similar operational software
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements and safety standards relevant to the jurisdiction (experience with Cap. 633 clinic licensing is a strong advantage)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in documentation and reporting
• Flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands and willingness to support other departments as required
• Preferred: Previous experience in the eyecare, optical or specialised healthcare sector would be advantageous
