Job summary

CMHK is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead end-to-end construction of core business platforms and PaaS systems in Hong Kong. You will design architecture, oversee deployment, integration, testing and acceptance, while managing vendors and ensuring quality, cost, and security.

The role requires 3+ years in platform engineering, cloud-native tech, and telecom platforms, with hands-on Kubernetes, Docker and OpenStack experience. ABachelor's degree or higher is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications/CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in platform construction, PaaS, cloud-native architecture, microservices, telecom platforms, or cloud deployment.
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack).

Job description

Division Engineering and Construction Centre

Responsible for the end-to-end construction and full lifecycle management of the company's core business platforms and PaaS systems, including but not limited to eSIM platforms, intelligent computing cloud PaaS, mobile cloud platforms, business platform clouds, and one-card-two-number platforms.

Oversee the full lifecycle management of platform construction projects, including architecture design, deployment and integration, testing, and project acceptance, while ensuring quality, schedule, cost, compliance, and security.

Manage cooperative partners (e.g., software vendors, cloud service providers, system integrators, and other third-party service providers) throughout the process, including safety management and performance evaluation.

Assist in researching new technology advancements in cloud-native architecture, microservices, and AI-driven platform engineering.

Responsible for compliance management within the team, promoting the establishment and implementation of relevant systems and data security protocols.

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in platform construction, PaaS, cloud-native architecture, microservices, telecom business platforms (BSS/OSS), eSIM systems, or cloud platform deployment. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack) is required.

Professional Experience:(1) Solid project experience and professional knowledge in IT/Telecom platform architecture, system integration, API management, and high-availability/high-concurrency design. Knowledge of Data Communication networks is highly preferred.(2) Familiarity with relevant provincial company construction management processes, software/hardware procurement processes, and capital expenditure processes.(3) Knowledge of integrated risk management, corporate compliance management, data privacy, final account settlement, and audit-related processes.(4) Experience in establishing and managing small to medium-sized technical or platform operation teams.(5) Strong teamwork, communication skills, and effective writing proficiency.

Technical Certification: Candidates with relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Cloud Architect certifications like AWS/Azure/AliCloud) are preferred.
