Job summary

Shangri-La Group in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Manager for Lobster Bar & Grill at Island Shangri-La. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure top-tier service and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a Hospitality Management diploma or above, with 4+ years in prestigious hotel restaurants and at least 3 years in Bar and Grill roles. English and Chinese proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Hospitality Management.
• At least 4 years of experience in restaurants at prestigious Hotels or organizations, with minimum 3 years in Bar and Grill.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverages and strong sense of market trends.
• Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, reliability, responsibility and accountability.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Restaurant and collaborate with the Chef on promotion, menus, budgets, and staff training.
• Lead and motivate the Team to deliver exceptional service aligned with Hotel standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative ideas and recommending service enhancements.
• Review guest feedback, critique forms, logbooks on operational issues and P&L statements.
• Ensure all materials, equipment and machinery are properly used and regularly cleaned for prolong usage.
• Ensure general maintenance of sections appointed and follow-up on work order forms with the Engineering Team.
• Ensure all staff are aware of and apply the procedures concerning Hotel fire and life safety / emergency procedures.

About The Role
