The University of Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant IT Manager / Software Developer to support teaching-and-learning systems on campus. The role includes maintaining, enhancing and developing applications for frontline operations, with a focus on Moodle and Panopto platforms and related IT support for events.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and have at least three years of relevant IT experience.
Assistant IT Manager / Software Developer (at the rank of IT Officer / IT Technician) in the School of Clinical Medicine (several posts)(Ref.: 537175) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in the IT industry. Experience in web applications, system maintenance/development that would automate administrative work processes and enhance workflow within the context of an educational institution would be an advantage. Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fresh graduates who are highly motivated may also be considered for appointment at IT Technician rank.
The appointees will be responsible for maintenance, enhancement and development of applications/systems for frontline operations in teaching and learning, including the Moodle and Panopto platforms, as well as IT support for different systems and events. On-the-job training will be provided.
