Manager/ Assistant Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/ Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 537158) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of solid administrative experience at supervisory level, preferably in higher education or a related sector. They should demonstrate an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), effective interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Candidates should be self-motivated, highly attentive to detail, and able to work independently under tight deadlines. IT proficiency, the capacity to learn quickly, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and leadership abilities are essential. Experience or knowledge in human resources and financial management is an definite advantage. Those with less experience or qualifications may be considered for the Assistant Manager position (at the rank of Executive Officer).
The appointee will provide comprehensive administrative support in human resources and finance-related areas, including recruitment and appointments, committee work, resource allocation, monitoring of financial processes, and perform any other duties as assigned. Leading a small team of clerical staff to deliver high-quality service is expected. Occasional work outside normal office hours may be required.
