Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University is seeking an Assistant Director of Information Technology (Digital Transformation) to lead the planning, implementation and maintenance of the University’s Student Information Systems and related services.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor and project management skills, plus experience with ERP platforms, cloud or IT infrastructure, and student administration systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems including student administration/ERP, admissions sites and student self-service portals.
• Strong leadership, vendor/project management and communication skills in English & Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for planning, implementation and maintenance of the University’s Student Information Systems and related services and apps.
• Oversee system integration, data quality and process optimisation for efficient information flow across academic schools and admin offices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into system requirements to meet current and future University needs.
• Manage system upgrades, tenders, vendor relationships and project delivery to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Supervise an information system team to implement, develop, enhance and maintain ERP and other applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
