Mass Transit Railway in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Corporate Safety and Quality Manager – Development and Shared Services. You will support governance strategies, coordinate safety programmes and lead initiatives to promote safety, quality and environment across the Corporation.

The role requires a degree in Safety/Engineering, 5+ years’ experience with at least 2 years supervisory, and qualifications in safety, quality or auditing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety, Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Preferably with professional qualifications in Safety, Quality Management, Auditing, or related disciplines (RSO/RSA, Lead Auditor ISO 9001/45001).
• Solid knowledge of safety and quality management systems, assurance methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence at different levels.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
• Experience in digitalisation, process automation, AI applications or data analytics is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of corporate safety, quality and environment governance strategies, frameworks and improvement initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate corporate health and safety programmes, standards, guidance materials, performance monitoring and related governance activities.
• Plan and coordinate corporate safety, quality and environment promotion, engagement, communication and competencies development initiatives.
• Provide professional support and advice to Business Units, Corporate Functions, subsidiaries and other stakeholders on related management and governance matters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing, best practice and continuous improvement across the Corporation.
• Support the development and implementation of digital solutions and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency, reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the corporate safety, quality and environment governance strategies, frameworks, and improvement initiatives
• Manage and coordinate corporate health and safety programmes, standards, guidance materials, performance monitoring and related governance activities

• Support corporate safety, quality and environment assurance activities and provide professional support and advice to Business Units, Corporate Functions, subsidiaries and other stakeholders on related management and governance matters

• Support the development and implementation of digital solutions and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency, reporting, and analytics

Requirements

• Degree in Safety / Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, of which at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Possession of the following professional qualification(s) is/are preferred:
  • Recognized professional qualifications in Safety, Quality Management, Auditing, or related disciplines
  • Registered Safety Officer (RSO) and/or Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) qualifications
  • Professional Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 or 45001)
• Sound knowledge of safety and quality management systems, assurance methodologies, and governance frameworks
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels
• Self-motivated and proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Experience in digitalisation, process automation, AI applications, or data analytics is an advantage
