Airport Authority Hong Kong seeks an experienced Architect with 6+ years in design and 3+ years in project management to lead alteration and improvement works at the airport. Qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant architectural design experience with 3+ years in project management.
• HK Registered Architect with HKIA or equivalent professional membership.
• Proficient in architectural visualization and word processing software.
• Experience with MS Project, MicroStation, and BIM is advantageous.
• Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Liaise to ensure works are safe, efficient, and minimize disruption to airport operations.
• Manage works and consultancy contracts to deliver on time and within budget.
• Assist the Manager to issue variation orders to contractors.
• Ensure smooth handover of completed works and address defects until Final Certificate.
• Coordinate with statutory bodies.

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct architectural feasibility studies and prepare presentation materials for alteration and improvement works
• Provide technical support to internal departments in obtaining the approval of CAPEX works
• Prepare tender documents and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all tenders are issued and awarded within the approved timeline
• Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations and completed on time
• Manage works and consultancy contracts to ensure the projects are delivered within the approved time frame and budget
• Assist the Manager to assess, prepare and issue variation orders to the contractors
• Ensure smooth handover of completed works to stakeholders and maintenance teams, and follow up with all defects and outstanding items until the issuance of Final Certificate to the contractors
• Liaise and coordinate with statutory bodies

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or other related disciplines with at least 6years relevant working experience in architectural design, of which minimum 3 years in project management. Previous experience in transportation related building/complex, alteration and addition projects and fit-out works would be an advantage
• Registered Architect in Hong Kong and full member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects or related professional associations is required
• Proficient in architectural visualization and word processing software
• Knowledge in project management software MS Project, CADD software MicroStation and Building Information Modelling would be an advantage
• Proactive, service-oriented and able to work independently
• Strong communication, coordination, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
