Job summary

A&O Shearman in Hong Kong is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the APAC Private Capital team. Based in our Hong Kong office, you will turn strategy into practical activity, supporting lawyers and business to pursue growth opportunities.

You will manage pitch pipelines, run campaigns and client touchpoints, ensure best practices in systems and processes, and collaborate with global marketing and BD colleagues across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience executing business development activities in professional services.
• Experience supporting sector-, practice- or multi-market programmes is preferred.
• Strong writing, research and relationship-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate sector priorities into practical activities and deliverables.
• Track spend and ROI across the sector programme.
• Provide status reports using Dynamics and pipeline data.
• Support client development, campaigns and client touchpoints.
• Coordinate pitches, proposals and client meetings with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop and enhance pitch content and client materials.
