Job summary

OOCL is seeking an Assistant/Deputy Manager, Process & Analytics, Space & Traffic Management in Hong Kong to support process transformation and digitalization of space allocation, cargo flow and traffic operations.

You will steer IT-driven requirements, coordinate production support, and train users while developing reports and dashboards to monitor performance and guide decision-making. Strong English and Putonghua, plus 5+ years of traffic/ships experience, are required.

Qualifications

University graduate in Business, Shipping & Logistics, Information System or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in shipping with hands-on traffic management or trade traffic experience.
Good communication, analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
Self-initiative and sensitive to figures and details.
Able to work independently and under pressure; possess business sense.
High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua).
Competent in Windows applications and hands-on experience in Spotfire / Tableau will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

To support process transformation and digitalization initiatives for space allocation, cargo flow and traffic management operations.
To steer business system initiatives and requirements, and prioritize development items with IT teams.
To provide first-line support on application usage issues and coordinate resolution of production incidents.
To provide training to new joiners and support users in the effective application of systems and digital solutions in daily operations.
To analyze operational data, identify trends and opportunities, and provide insights to support decision-making.
To develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical tools to support business performance monitoring.
To support day-to-day shipment planning, operational disruptions and contingency situations.
To work closely with traffic management teams and participate in cross-functional projects and operational improvement initiatives.
