Job summary

Standard Chartered in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced AML/KYC onboarding professional to join Private Banking. The role involves opening new accounts, performing comprehensive risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to CDD/AML policies while meeting onboarding SLAs.

You will collaborate with frontline and second-line teams, maintain regular MI/dashboards, and support audits and policy updates across the group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years relevant AML/KYC or client onboarding experience in banking/financial services, with a focus on private banking clients.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to CDD/AML and internal procedures.
• Professional AML/CFT certification such as ACAMS.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts with frontline teams and second line partners per PVB policies and procedures.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments of client profiles to identify upfront risks.
• Meet onboarding SLAs with no dilution in risk assessments.
• Ensure client files are appropriately risk assessed and free from CDD concerns.
• Reject clients not meeting the PVB risk appetite and raise SARs when required.
• Provide timely updates of weekly trackers to monitor case progress.
• Provide feedback on Group and country policy changes.
• Support country MI collation for regulators and assist during audits and second line reviews.
• Maintain monthly dashboards to monitor KPI adherence.
• Support projects related to onboarding, periodic reviews and CDD matters.
