Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a KYC Specialist to provide expert advice on onboarding and KYC matters, working closely with Front Office and Compliance. The role entails independent KYC reviews, risk rating, and ensuring adherence to AML/CFT standards in daily client onboarding processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of KYC/AML experience, familiarity with MAS 626, and AML certifications such as CAMS. Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of working experience in KYC/AML areas, risk or controls functions, preferably in Private Banking.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements pertaining to KYC/AML, e.g., MAS 626.
• Certifications in AML such as CAMS or related certificates are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise Front Office on onboarding requirements per AML/KYC standards and collaborate to meet them.
• Review KYC information submitted by RM, perform independent risk rating per policy.
• Coordinate with Front Office and stakeholders on KYC matters and escalated cases.
• Assess KYC information for completeness and perform due diligence checks.
• Highlight deficiencies or non-compliance issues to management.
• Train Front Office on KYC-related subjects; coach junior team members.
• Participate in projects for new processes and audits.
• Keep abreast of global AML/CFT developments and ensure compliance.
