Job summary

Canonical is expanding its global sales organization and seeks a regional sales renewal team manager to lead renewals in the North America region. The role requires leadership, open source experience and a track record in enterprise software sales planning and execution.

The successful candidate will travel regionally and internationally as needed, coach a distributed team, and work with customers to extend open source adoption across cloud, data center and edge platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Experience with open source technology and solutions.
• Strong planning, organization and reporting abilities.
• Experience in enterprise software or technology sales planning.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and acquiring new accounts.
• Self-discipline and ability to succeed in a distributed team.
• Professional written and spoken English; additional languages beneficial.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements and events.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute territory plans to prioritize outreach and prospecting.
• Lead the renewals team and drive bookings in the region.
• Coach and mentor team members to achieve targets and develop careers.
• Collaborate with customer success on growth opportunities and renewals.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce and report regularly.
