Job summary

Canonical seeks a Public Cloud Solution Architect to drive joint initiatives with major public clouds. The role is remote in the AMER region, working with engineering, sales, and product teams to align on strategies and delivery. You will champion Ubuntu adoption and create technical content for partners and customers.

The candidate should have strong cloud tech experience, leadership, and excellent business English writing and presentation skills, with willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of public cloud technologies and open source ecosystems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to create clear technical content.
• Track record of delivering outcomes beyond commitments; leadership and mentorship.
• Willingness to travel internationally for company events up to two weeks, twice a year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and alliance teams at public cloud partners to align on open-source strategies.
• Ensure Canonical’s product requirements are clear and delivery is executed as planned.
• Maintain relationships with engineering teams to integrate and optimize Ubuntu on public clouds.
• Act as product champion and point of contact for named cloud partners.
• Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging and launch plans.
• Create partner- and customer-facing materials like webinars, presentations, videos, and white papers.
• Drive Ubuntu adoption across cloud products and accelerate end-user adoption on partner platforms.
