Chinese International School is seeking an Alumni Relations Officer to support day-to-day operations of the alumni association and engage its growing global community. You will work with the Director of Alumni Relations as part of the Advancement team and collaborate with alumni, students, and volunteers to strengthen ties.
You will manage communications across channels, help grow digital presence, maintain the alumni database, and plan events ranging from dozen to several hundred attendees.
The Alumni Relations Officer plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the school's alumni association and in engaging the school's growing and global alumni community. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Alumni Relations and is part of the school's Advancement team of 12 people. Outside of the team, the Alumni Relations Officer also works with alumni board members, current and former students and other school stakeholders and volunteers.
Effective communications through a variety of online and offline channels
Help develop strategies to maximize alumni engagement; manage existing alumni platforms, and work on projects to grow our digital presence
Manage the alumni database and plan events ranging in size from a dozen people to several hundred
Help administer and drive the success of the annual alumni fundraising day
University degree in a relevant field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in alumni or public relations, communications, media, event planning, education, or other relevant fields
Familiarity with international or independent schools is an advantage
The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, enjoy working with people, and be able to think creatively
Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English, including strong written skills, are required
Chinese language skills are an advantage
