Job summary

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Alumni Office is seeking a versatile professional to drive targeted alumni engagement and community impact. You will nurture relationships with senior professional alumni across secretariat groups to mobilise resources for social good while introducing dynamic, multi‑channel initiatives to engage student and young professional alumni.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in relationship management or community engagement.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑unit initiatives and campaigns is a plus.
  • Strong written and spoken English and Chinese are essential.

Job description

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) Alumni Office aims to unite, grow, and create lasting impact with alumni from diverse backgrounds, generations, and professions. We support the personal and professional development of our alumni while driving positive contributions to the community through resource mobilization, cross-sector integration, and the creation of meaningful opportunities.

Our current network brings together alumni from key flagship programmes and networks, with plans for continuous expansion across all HKFYG units.

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and proactive professional to join our Alumni Office. Operating at the intersection of strategic planning and hands‑on execution, this role will drive targeted alumni engagement and community impact. You will focus on nurturing relationships with senior professional alumni across various secretariat groups to mobilise resources for social good, while introducing dynamic, multi‑channel initiatives to engage student and young professional alumni.

Job Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement & Alumni Relations
  • Strategic Alumni Relationship Activation and Management: Formulate and execute tailored engagement strategies to activate alumni across secretariat groups, building long‑term loyalty and converting network strengths into community impact.
  • Programme Development: Design and implement creative engagement initiatives—including interest‑based cohorts, media profiling/interviews, and mission‑driven events to scale participation and amplify the network's social footprint.
  • Database Management & Lifecycle Analytics: Maintain and optimise alumni management systems to track engagement, perform data segmentation, and ensure informed decision‑making.
  • Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation: Cultivate relationships with prospective supporters and alumni partners to secure annual giving, donations, and in‑kind resources that advance community initiatives.
  • Internal Collaboration & Alignment
  • Cross‑Unit Integration:Work closely with HK FYG units and secretariat groups to integrate alumni into Youth development initiatives .
  • Brand Representation. Represent the Alumni Office positively at external engagements © 
Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration or Social Sciences or a related discipline.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in relationship management, community engagement, or project execution.
  • Candidates with more tactical focus may be considered for Assistant Development Officer.
Personal Attributes
  • Proven capability in complex stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management and event execution skills with sharp attention to details.
  • Practical strategic thinking—able to turn high‑level engagement goals into actionable campaigns.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); Putonghua is an advantage.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
