Job summary

City University of Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Alumni Relations Officer I/II to lead communications and engagement across channels, craft alumni stories, and help organise events. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in communications, fluent English and Chinese, and strong stakeholder skills.

The successful candidate will coordinate content, liaise with alumni networks, and support cross‑functional teams to enhance branding and university relations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree with more than 7 years’ post‑qualification experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related fields.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience in digital communication and social media management, including Chinese Mainland platforms.
• Proven experience in event management to deliver high‑quality engagement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the Office’s communication strategies across online and offline channels.
• Create and curate engaging content for various communication platforms, including social media channels and Chinese Mainland platforms.
• Coordinate and produce compelling alumni stories and publicity materials to showcase alumni impact.
• Prepare and edit communication materials, reports, proposals, publications and promotional collateral.
• Organise alumni events to maximise alumni engagement and branding.
• Liaise with alumni associations and alumni leaders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful communications and engagement initiatives.
• Provide secretarial support; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
