Job summary

SHOPLINE seeks a Merchant Growth Strategist to act as the growth engine for Merchant Success. You will identify scalable opportunities, design playbooks, and package resources across Marketing, Partnerships, Product, CRM, and AI to drive merchant growth with data-supported recommendations.

You will leverage first-party data and industry benchmarks, translate insights into actionable plans, and develop reusable materials for frontline teams and seasonal campaigns.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, brands, digital marketing, market research, strategy consulting or growth-related roles.
• Strong ecommerce understanding with the ability to turn data and market insights into practical merchant growth recommendations.
• Able to identify and prioritise growth opportunities based on business outcomes such as traffic, conversion, GMV and retention.

Responsibilities

• Analyse SHOPLINE first-party commerce data, industry trends and campaign performance to identify growth opportunities across traffic, conversion, GMV, retention, repeat purchase and marketing effectiveness.
• Leverage AI tools and analytics platforms to develop industry benchmarks and uncover performance insights across key merchant segments and verticals.
• Translate data and market insights into clear, actionable recommendations for merchant conversations and growth planning.
• Turn learnings from successful merchant cases, major campaigns and industry performance into reusable playbooks, benchmarks and best practices.
• Maintain a practical knowledge base and internal enablement materials, including case studies, targeting guidelines, talking points and campaign toolkits.
• Develop merchant growth strategies for key ecommerce moments such as 618, 11.11, Christmas and other seasonal opportunities.
• Use historical performance, industry insights and merchant behaviour to determine priority merchant segments, growth opportunities and recommended tactics.
• Build scalable Growth Playbooks across areas such as product strategy, CRM, membership, advertising, KOL, AI and Marketing Automation.
