Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University is seeking a Manager (School of Science and Technology) to oversee administrative planning, promotion and coordination of programmes within the School of Science and Technology. The role involves liaising with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure smooth delivery and development of courses.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to respond proactively to rapidly changing needs.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Providing administrative support in the planning, promotion, coordination and monitoring of the programmes and courses offered by the School.
• Liaising with staff of the University and external parties to ensure that the programmes and courses are planned, developed and presented smoothly.
• Handling administrative duties involved in research, human resources, learning and teaching activities, and student related matters.
• Planning, coordinating and managing for new initiatives in the development of the School, its Departments and programmes.
• Providing secretarial support to committees.
• Providing administrative support to the daily operation of the general office.
• Supervising supporting staff; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned.
