Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) invites applications for a Graduate School administration role. You will assist supervisors, oversee postgraduate student services, admissions, and visa processes, and help enhance policies and workflows.

Strong English/Chinese, planning ability, and team leadership are essential. Responsibilities include supporting the School Board, coordinating with international partners for student exchanges, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required with at least 4 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in higher education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling postgraduate student matters.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to plan and organise effectively under pressure.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua) abilities; computer proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors with School administration and operational matters.
• Manage services for research postgraduate and professional doctoral programmes: admissions, recruitment, promotions, and programme administration.
• Supervise processing of applications, changes in study plans, and visa processes for non-local students.
• Review and improve administrative policies, workflows, and systems for admissions and academic activities.
• Provide professional student and career services, with focus on student engagement and development.
• Support School Board, Research Degrees Committee and related committees; liaise with overseas partner institutions for exchanges.
• Coach and supervise junior/clerical staff; perform other duties as assigned.
