Job summary

Headland Hotel, located on Lantau Island and operated by Swire Hotels, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage daily financial operations and drive cost control across the hotel.

The role collaborates with operations to ensure compliant, efficient and profitable performance, with emphasis on reporting accuracy and financial discipline. Hospitality finance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Finance/Accounting or Hospitality/Tourism management.
• 3–5 years’ experience as Accountant/Assistant Accountant, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with PMS, POS and system integration would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, costing and income audits and warehouse and stock management.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management review.
• Analyze F&B recipes, costs and pricing to ensure profitability and minimize waste.
• Support internal controls processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with operation teams to align financial objectives with business goals.
• Handle ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to manage daily financial operations, support accurate reporting, and ensure strong cost control across the hotel. This role works closely with operations to drive compliance, efficiency, and profitability. Candidates with solid hospitality finance experience and strong analytical skills will thrive in this position.

Requirements

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Have)

• Degree or diploma in Finance/Accounting, or Hospitality/Tourism management or relevant professional qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience as Accountant/Assistant Accountant, preferably in hospitality industry
• Strong in leadership and good interpersonal and problem-solving skills

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Have)

• Proficient in MS Office and computerized accounting system and experience in PMS, POS and system integration would be an advantage
• Good analytical skills and able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and good at prioritizing different assigned tasks
