Job summary

Headland Hotel, located on Lantau Island near the airport and managed by Swire Hotels, invites ambitious graduates and early-career professionals to join the Operational Management Trainees program. Through departmental rotations, you will gain broad exposure to hotel operations and the capabilities needed for future supervisory and management opportunities.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with guests, and colleagues at different levels
• A genuine passion for hospitality and catering memorable guest experience
• An adaptable, proactive and hands-on approach, with eagerness to learn across, different departments and work settings
• Willingness to work accordingly to hotel operational requirements, including shifts, weekends and public holidays when assigned

Responsibilities

• Complete structured rotations across Front Office, Food & Beverages, Housekeeping and selected administrative functions
• Gain hands-on experience in daily hotel operations, guest service and cross-departmental coordination
• Support operational planning, service improvement initiatives and departmental projects
• Participate in leadership workshops, practical assignments and regular development reviews
• Learn and follow hotel policies, brand standards, safety requirements and relevant operational procedures
• Work closely with assigned mentors and department leaders, actively seeking and applying feedback throughout the programme

Requirements

The Cherries On Top (Nice‑to‑Have)

• Previous internship, part‑time or full‑time experience in hotels, restaurants, customer service or other service industries
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; additional language ability is an advantage
• Demonstrated involvement in student activities, project leadership, volunteering or team‑based initiatives
