Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am, Monday to Sunday

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

• Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of pasta sauces and ingredients, including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge.
• Wear a full smart clean uniform and protective clothing as required, maintaining brand standards.
• Adhere to Pasta Evangelists standards to ensure high-quality pasta and products for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with health, safety, and quality regulations.
• Monitor ingredient availability and inform team leaders in advance.
• Record food information, label effectively, and follow stock rotation principles (FIFO).
• Maintain par levels and record food wastage accurately.
• Utilize SOPs to maximize food quality and speed.
• Ensure equipment like fridges, pasta boilers, ovens, and microwaves are maintained and temperature records are kept.
• Prepare and cook food according to standards and SOPs.
• Check deliveries, report issues, and ensure proper storage.
• Operate wash-up areas and ensure equipment is cleaned thoroughly.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly, following waste management processes.
• Report equipment defects promptly.
• Follow close-down procedures to prepare the kitchen for the next shift.
• Organize pest checks and report concerns.

Who are you:

• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques (preferable).
• Familiarity with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and organized in food prep and cleaning.
• Good team player, effective communicator, and able to follow instructions.
• Willing to adapt to changing situations and schedules in a dynamic kitchen environment.
