About the Role:

Join our team as an HVAC Engineer at CBRE, where you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems within complex commercial HVAC installations. Your role will involve conducting proactive performance testing and managing ongoing scheduled maintenance to ensure that all systems operate efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulations.

This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, dedicated to providing essential support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on critical equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

1. Team Leadership: Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are completed efficiently and on schedule.
2. System Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, adjust, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used in building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This includes calibrating related instruments, gauges, and control components.
3. Ongoing Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with all relevant codes and safety regulations.
4. Troubleshooting Expertise: Diagnose equipment failures and determine the best course of action for necessary modifications or repairs.
5. Innovative Solutions: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of HVAC principles and procedures to tackle complex assignments and develop innovative solutions.
6. Mentorship and Coaching: Share your expertise and knowledge with team members, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing professional development.
7. Role Model: Lead by example, embodying the CBRE RISE values and working to build consensus among team members and stakeholders.
8. Operational Impact: Contribute to a variety of customer, operational, project, or service activities across your team and related teams.

What You’ll Need:

1. Educational Background: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a diploma. Prior supervisory or shift management experience is preferred.
2. Physical Capability: Must meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
3. Judgment and Analysis: Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of multiple information sources.
4. Open-Mindedness: Willingness to consider new perspectives and approaches to existing solutions.
5. Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities combined with an inquisitive mindset, demonstrating a proactive approach to work.
7. Mathematical Proficiency: Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to perform calculations involving percentages, fractions, and other financial-related figures.
