Catfoss Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a globally respected R&D company to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join an expanding team and report to the Head of Project Management.

1. Coordinate project teams to deliver benefits from a portfolio or programme of projects.
2. Act as the primary contact with internal client representatives, collaborating closely with technical SMEs and project managers.
3. Manage project requirements, prepare business cases, and ensure effective baseline management.
4. Identify and manage risks, resource needs, and schedule constraints.
5. Develop work breakdown structures, resource estimates, and manage schedules with stakeholders.
6. Implement communication plans and monitor project progress, addressing issues proactively.
7. Support bid preparation, including estimating, risk management, planning, and proposal development.

• Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience managing complex projects; formal qualification is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to interpret technical narratives with guidance.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Leadership experience in technical projects, with a record of meeting challenging targets. Commercial experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years' high-quality project management experience.

The successful candidate must meet UK security clearance requirements, including 5 years of UK residency and British citizenship.

Previous suitable job titles include Project Engineer, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Senior Project Manager, Technical Project Manager.
