Job Description:

ESG REC are working with a leading provider and integrator of network infrastructure, electrical and communication solutions who are looking to recruit a Solar Project Manager to support the expansion of the company within the Renewable Energy market.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end management of utility-scale solar projects, overseeing scope, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
2. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment procurement.
3. Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, electricians, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
4. Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), G99 grid connection requirements, and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
5. Conduct comprehensive site surveys, manage procurement processes, and oversee installation and commissioning phases.
6. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolve technical challenges, and maintain high standards of safety and quality control.
7. Provide technical expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverter technologies, and associated electrical infrastructure.

Qualification:

1. Degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
2. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition certification preferred.

Experience:

1. 3+ years of real-world experience installing and maintaining solar PV systems.
2. 2+ years’ experience managing utility-scale solar projects.
3. Demonstrable experience in financial management and project costing.
4. Expertise knowledge of UK solar technology.

Location:

This role is based on-site in Peterborough.
