Job Title: MRP Planner

Department: Planning

Reports to: Planning Senior Supervisor

About us:

Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site.

We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm

Main job functions:

Supports the Planning team in the day-to-day MRP management and purchasing activities and responsible for maintaining appropriate material stock levels.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Running MRP and raise purchase orders as required




• Analysing MRP reports, internal off-line reports, and other sources as necessary to identify purchasing requirements




• Raising issues to Buyer and assisting in the expedition of relevant purchase orders as appropriate




• Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials




• Identifying and escalating all risks to Planning Manager




• Chasing up orders and expediting purchases in order to guarantee timely delivery




• Email correspondence with internal customers, departments, and vendors to maintain transparency




• Contacting vendors by email and phone to request invoice submission




• Following up with invoice approvers to complete required actions in invoice approval system




• Coordinating the delivery of parts for production demands on a daily/weekly basis




• Liaising with suppliers; arranging delivery dates as required




• Dealing with supplier quality issues, ensuring that quality and audit actions are completed in a timely manner




• Effectively communicating with Production, Planning and Suppliers and reporting any issues to the Buyer and Planning Manager




• Maintaining stock level information




• Maintaining Excel documents and MRP system




• Maintaining an up-to-date catalogue of all work instructions relating to the purchasing department

Skills and attributes required:

• Good excel skill




• Analytical skills

Experience required (essential):

• 6 Months experience in MRP planner role
