We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Technician to join our HS2 team. This role is vital in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of materials used across our operations. - Conduct field sampling and testing in line with inspection and test plans
- Inspect plant, equipment, stockpiles, and materials to identify and report issues
- Investigate material defects and non-conformities, supporting resolution and continuous improvement
- Provide technical support to production sites, depots, operational teams, and external customers
- Carry out site inspections and reviews to enhance working practices
- Ensure materials meet all relevant specifications and HS2 requirements
- Monitor third-party testing and maintain accurate records and reports
- Deliver technical training and toolbox talks to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and share data insights with internal and external teams
- Act as a substitute for the Technical Advisor when required
- Support additional duties as directed by the HS2 team
- Experience in materials testing, quality assurance, or technical support
- Strong understanding of health & safety, environmental, and product quality standards
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and data
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support cross-functional teams
