A leading construction materials company in Kendal is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their team. The role involves reviewing and drafting legal documents, providing advice on contracts, and managing legal risks. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Law, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, and must be fluent in English. Currently we're helping our partner company in Kendal Industrial Park who focus on the production of construction materials such as prefabricated pipe piles, prefabricated square piles and precast concrete for Industry.
Construction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026 and will be operational immediately. With a selling capacity of 3,000,000 meters of prefabricated concrete piles per year and 150,000 m2 of ready mixed concrete per year. The employment of PT HSG is estimated around 250 workers
Review and draft company legal documents, and provide legal advice to management on areas with potential risks.
Responsible for reviewing company contracts and conducting legal assessments of key decision-making matters. Externally, participate in major contract negotiations, draft contract terms, provide legal advice, and mitigate legal risks. Internally, establish and improve corporate contract management systems to standardize contract administration.
Guide the development of the company's legal risk management framework. Lead initiatives to identify, analyze, evaluate, and control legal risks in critical areas, ensuring proactive risk prevention and mitigation.
Accompany or represent the company in handling legal matters.
Bachelor's degree or above, with a Bachelor of Law degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a corporate legal counsel/in-house counsel/in a law firm.
Familiar with laws and regulations including but not limited to Company Law, Contract Law, and Mineral Resources Law.
Proficient in both spoken and written English.
Substantial experience in legal affairs and litigation.
Strong risk awareness, communication skills, detail-oriented, and high level of accuracy.
Holds a valid PERADI license and a lawyer's certificate.
