Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Bristol is seeking a Naval Architect with relevant qualifications and experience in hydrodynamics. The role offers hybrid working but requires regular attendance at the workplace. Candidates with knowledge of propulsion systems and acoustic measurement techniques will be preferred. The contract extends until March 2026 and includes opportunities for professional development and collaboration in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Must be Naval Architect qualified at a masters level or equivalent.
- Experience in hydrodynamics is essential.
- Familiarity with propulsion systems and V&V techniques is required.
Skills
This role is Inside IR35.
Clearance: DV desired
Location: Bristol -Hybrid and flexible working can be considered for this post but will need regular workplace attendance
Contract Length: Until 31/03/2026
- Naval Architect qualified (masters level or equivalent experience)
- Experience of hydrodynamics
- Experience of propulsion (including V&V techniques)
- Knowledge of acoustic theory and measurement techniques
- CEng and/or MRINA
