Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their client in Rochester. This hybrid role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. Candidates should have a qualification in Mechanical Fitting Engineering and experience in industrial settings. A full UK driving licence is also required.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Mechanical Fitting Engineering (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A full UK Driving licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.
- Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance.
- Work with other trades to complete shutdowns and projects.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records.
Skills
Education
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team with head office in Rochester, but this is a Hybrid role. If you have a mechanical background and are able to problem solve, this is for you.
- Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and plant machinery.
- Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Work with other trades and supervisors to complete shutdowns and projects.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of all work.
- Qualification in Mechanical Fitting Engineering (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience of Industrial/Manufacturing or similar environment.
- Good all round Mechanical Knowledge.
- Full UK Driving licence.
