Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
  • Trouble shoot breakdowns.
  • Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT tests.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and body system issues.
  • Accurately record maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.

Overview

Job Role: HGV Mechanic

Location: Bristol

Pay: £43,500

Hours: M-F 6am-2.30pm & 1.30pm-10pm (40 hrs)

Shift: Early & Lates

Contract: Full time permanent role

Benefits: £2500 retention bonus after completion of probationary period, 33 days holiday, BUPA Health Plan

Note: HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter opportunity. Potential flexibility with shifts to offer a permanent early or permanent late shift if preferred.

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Duties
  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
  • Trouble shoot breakdowns
  • Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT tests
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and body system issues
  • Accurately record maintenance, repairs, and parts usage
HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Experience Required
  • Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or qualified by experience working on HGVs
