Qualifications

• Proven background in heavy industry such as marine, oil & gas, automotive, aviation or shipbuilding.
• Ability to diagnose faults and ensure high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Installing pumps, valves, pipework, filters, main engines and mounts.
• Carrying out general mechanical fitting tasks across the build hall.
• Using magnetic base drills and marking out fish plates.
• Interpreting technical drawings and applying torque settings.
• Diagnosing faults.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience applying torque settings accurately

Proven fault‑finding skills in mechanical systems

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment

Education

Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
