Job summary
A leading technology consulting firm in the UK is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a remote role with occasional travel to London. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline development, and container orchestration. An active SC clearance is preferred, but eligible candidates will also be considered. This position offers an umbrella-only contract engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Active SC clearance preferred; SC eligible candidates will be considered.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline development, and container orchestration, along with current or eligible SC security clearance. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London.
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Implement and maintain container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Monitor system performance, proactively identify issues, and implement resolutions
- Ensure security and compliance across cloud and on-premise environments
- Work closely with development teams to accelerate and improve release cycles
- Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Write and maintain scripts using Bash and/or Python
- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Maintain strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role
- Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Active SC clearance preferred; SC eligible candidates will be considered
- This is an umbrella-only contract engagement
- Candidate must be based in the UK
- Role is remote with occasional travel to London
