Speechify is the easiest way to listen to the world’s information. We build the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify’s product experience across platforms. This is a role for someone who enjoys the intersection of product and infrastructure, designs clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope to get faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

• Systems thinking: end-to-end design with a belief that simplicity is valuable.
• Speed: ability to generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now versus what needs time.
• Focus: thriving in a high-growth startup with a remote team, balancing collaboration and heads-down work.
• Collaboration: ability to work with designers, marketers, and PMs in a constructive, collaborative manner.
• Preferred Tech Stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform); prior experience with GCP is a plus.

Salary

The United States Based salary range for this role is: 140,000-200,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock depending on experience.
