We're hiring a Reducing Restrictive Interventions Training Lead (RRIT) for a 37.5 hour per week full‑time role.

Remote with regional travel across the West of the UK and occasional national travel to services and training venues.

Lead development, delivery and quality assurance of the Physical Intervention team (RRIT) and curriculum. Provide expert leadership, drive BILD accreditation, and ensure compliance with RRN standards. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on training delivery and continuous improvement and collaborates across departments to embed best practice and reduce restrictive interventions organisation‑wide.

• Provide visible leadership and expert guidance on the Physical Interventions curriculum, ensuring compliance with RRN standards and organisational policy.
• Lead, line‑manage and support senior divisional RRI instructors, driving quality assurance, performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee curriculum design, evaluation and accreditation, including leading the BILD accreditation process.
• Coordinate divisional audits and governance reporting, analysing trends and outcomes to inform safe and effective practice.
• Collaborate across departments and service networks to embed learning and reduce reliance on restrictive interventions.

• Advanced expertise in preventing and managing violence and aggression, including de‑escalation and physical intervention.
• Current or former certified instructor in a recognised physical intervention programme (PMVA/MAPA/RRN or equivalent) with strong knowledge of BILD accreditation and RRN Standards.
• Proven experience leading teams, delivering high‑quality training, and producing clear reports, with excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.

All roles are subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. Priory will cover the cost of a DBS check. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
