Job summary
A leading civil engineering contractor in the UK is seeking an experienced Project Manager for highways and infrastructure projects. The role, based in Heathrow, requires significant experience in airport or highway projects, alongside strong leadership and management skills. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery ensuring adherence to quality and cost targets, as well as managing resources effectively. Regular travel to project sites across England is expected.
Qualifications
- Experience with main contractors in civil engineering projects.
- Capable of managing teams and delivering projects efficiently.
- Understanding of risk and value engineering processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project delivery in accordance with specified metrics.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to work for a main Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing a variety of Civil/Highway engineering sectors with a primary focus of infrastructure based projects. Role will be based in Heathrow with the candidate expected to travel intermittently to various project sites when required.
As a Project Manager your key experience & responsibilities include:
- Having Airport/Highway/Rail/ infrastructure experience working for a main contractor
- Providing direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and external consultants or contractors engaged in providing technical support activities to the project
- Overseeing the successful delivery of projects to scope, target cost, quality, programme and completion encompassing design, engineering, construction, handover and commercial aspects ensuring perfect delivery is achieved
- Implementing a full risk and value engineering management process where all risks and cost savings opportunities are identified and actioned
- Ensuring efficient management of the Company’s resources; employees, suppliers and subcontractors
- Airside passes would be advantageous
