Randstad are currently working in partnership with a market leading trading and consulting business based in Central London working within a trade and investment setting. They are seeking an experienced, driven and knowledgeable Gold Trading professional to join their already well established team within their office. This dynamic individual will have a strong background in precious metals and be confident in managing the end-to-end trading process for physical gold, build a strong network of suppliers and buyers, and ensure profitable and compliant operations in the global gold market. This role would suit a candidate with 5 years+ experience working in a competitive trading environment for a private equity backed business.

• Identify and pursue gold trading opportunities across local and international markets.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with gold refineries, suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability.
• Oversee import/export logistics, shipping documentation, and customs compliance for gold shipments.
• Track global gold market trends, spot prices, and currency fluctuations to optimize trading strategies.
• Ensure strict adherence to AML, KYC, and international regulatory standards for all transactions.
• Prepare regular trading performance, sales, and risk management reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Proven experience as a Trader, Broker, or Business Development Specialist in gold or precious metals trading.
• Solid knowledge of physical gold markets, logistics, and international trade regulations.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and market networking skills.
• Deep understanding of AML, KYC, and compliance requirements in gold trading.
• Excellent English communication skills (other languages such as Arabic, French, or Mandarin are an advantage).
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to respond to market volatility and pricing dynamics.
• Willingness to travel internationally to source and close trading opportunities.
