Location : Ford - West Sussex

Salary : £45,849 includes a night shift allowance.

This role operates on a 4-shift rotating pattern, ensuring 24-hour coverage across the site. The rotation moves through the following shifts :

• Earlies , 06 : 00 to 16 : 00
• Mids , 09 : 00 to 19 : 00
• Lates , 11 : 00 to 21 : 00
• Nights , 20 : 00 to 06 : 00

Each engineer rotates through all four shifts over the pattern, working across mornings, days, evenings and nights. The rota ensures fair distribution of each shift type and consistent weekend coverage across the team.

This rotation provides predictable forward planning and makes sure all team members gain experience across every operational period of the plant.

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM’s, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a daily basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.

• Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnose running faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scale.
• Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
• Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
• To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
• Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.

• Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Desirable – Additional relevant qualifications.
