Job summary
A leading construction firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager for a commercial new build project. The role involves overseeing all on-site electrical trades, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, a valid ECS Black Card, and other relevant certifications. This position requires strong coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple aspects of electrical installations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years as an Electrical Site Manager or Supervisor.
- Proven experience with electrical packages on commercial or industrial projects.
- Valid ECS Black Card, SSSTS, and Full UK Driving Licence required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site electrical trades.
- Interpret drawings and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Carry out inspections and quality checks of installations.
- Coordinate with other trade managers and project manager.
- Enforce health and safety requirements and document compliance.
- Monitor progress and document delays or risks.
- Lead snagging, defect resolution, and handover documentation.
- Maintain accurate reports, timesheets, and site documentation.
Skills
We’re working on a commercial new build market hall project and require an experienced Electrical Site Manager on a freelance basis. The role involves managing and coordinating all electrical works on site, ensuring standards, safety, programme, and quality are consistently achieved.
- Manage and supervise all on-site electrical trades, including electricians and subcontractors
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and design information, ensuring all works comply
- Carry out regular inspections and quality checks of electrical installations
- Coordinate daily with other trade managers, the project manager, and the site manager
- Enforce all health & safety requirements : ensure RAMS are in place, PPE compliance, and safe systems of work
- Review and oversee test sheets, inspection records, and commissioning documentation
- Monitor progress against programme, identify delays / risks, and escape where required
- Lead snagging, manage defect resolution, and support preparation of handover documents
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly reports, timesheets, material records, and site documentation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Site Manager or Electrical Supervisor
- Proven experience managing electrical packages on commercial new build or industrial projects
- Valid ECS Black Card
- SSSTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
