Job summary
A leading financial services organization in Basildon is looking for a Cloud Ops & DevOps Engineer to join their App Ops team. This role involves hands-on cloud configuration, microservices orchestration, and deployment automation within a dynamic AWS infrastructure. You will manage Kubernetes clusters, implement deployment strategies, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Candidates should have at least 7 years of IT experience, including 4 years in DevOps, preferred in financial environments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience in large-scale environments, preferably within the financial sector.
- At least 4 years of hands-on DevOps experience.
Responsibilities
- Support AWS services including Transfer Family, EC2, and EFS.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters with 70+ microservices across environments.
- Implement blue-green and canary deployments using Argo Rollouts.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for upper environments.
- Provide Level 3 support for production releases and deployment strategies.

My client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Cloud Ops & DevOps Engineer to join their App Ops team and support a dynamic AWS-based infrastructure. This is a hands‑on role focused on cloud configuration, microservices orchestration, and deployment automation across multiple tenants.
- Support AWS services including Transfer Family, EC2, and EFS
- Manage Kubernetes clusters with 70+ microservices across environments
- Maintain and promote Helm Charts from development to production
- Implement blue-green and canary deployments using Argo Rollouts
- Daily usage and support of ArgoCD for continuous delivery
- Configure and troubleshoot Istio Service Mesh
- Build and maintain GitLab CI / CD pipelines for upper environments
- Apply Git branching strategies in multi-environment setups
- Support environment builds and new client onboarding
- Collaborate with performance and chaos testing teams
- Provide Level 3 support for production releases and deployment strategies
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience in large-scale environments (preferably financial)
- At least 4 years of hands‑on DevOps experience
