We are committed to continuous improvement and rely on our colleagues to identify ways to enhance processes and outputs. We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Glasgow to help maintain our excellent track record.

The Glasgow site supplies the entire Scotland and North of England. This role offers an opportunity to implement your ideas, make an immediate impact, and develop your career with Marley.

As part of a skilled engineering team, your main responsibilities will include ensuring the continuous operation of production by minimizing downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

You will undertake various engineering tasks, proactively preventing equipment failure, working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance activities on-site.

The role involves working 39 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, providing a good work-life balance. Overtime opportunities are available to increase earnings.

• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering
• Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer, NVQ Level 3
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous
• Fabrication and welding experience is beneficial
• Team player with attention to detail
• Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Experience in fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance
• Excellent English communication skills, oral and written
