A leading education provider in the UK seeks an Auxiliary Site Support to maintain cleanliness and assist during lunchtime. Candidates should have experience in cleaning or catering, emphasizing teamwork and safety. This permanent role operates on a 4-Day Working Week, ensuring work/life balance, and offers various benefits including life assurance and mental health support.

We’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay. Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW and others are preparing to roll it out.
Role: Auxiliary Site Support
Location: Wessex Lodge Primary School, Kilmington, Wiltshire BA12 6RB
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (TBC), Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time plus 2 weeks
Start Date: October 2025

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy school environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and support for pupils and staff. The Auxiliary Site Support position combines two key responsibilities – School Cleaner and Lunchtime Support. The role can either be undertaken as a combined position or adjusted to focus on one area, depending on the successful candidate’s circumstances. Working hours will be agreed accordingly.
Lunchtime Support
Wessex Lodge School currently comprises three sites: Wessex Lodge Primary School (Kilmington), Wessex Lodge Secondary School (Frome), and Newmead Farm (Maiden Bradley). All sites offer a range of curriculum experiences, including animal care, horticulture, design & technology, forest school, and sport. Our students are aged 6–18 years old and receive support through the THRIVE approach to improve life outcomes.
The established staff team brings a wide range of backgrounds and skills. If you have interests or qualifications in animal care, horticulture, construction, outdoor education, forestry, or other trades, we would love to hear from you.
