Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering a long-term financial strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and modelling.
- Overseeing statutory reporting, audits and compliance with charity finance regulations.
- Managing treasury, reserves, investments, pensions and tax compliance.
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team.
- Supporting major projects, tenders, partnerships and financial due diligence.
- Partnering with senior leaders on income generation and cost optimisation.
- Leading improvements in financial systems, data accessibility and digital tools.
- Contributing to sustainability goals and climate-conscious financial leadership.
Education
An ambitious, values-driven organisation is seeking an outstanding Director of Finance to lead its finance function through a period of transformation and growth. Reporting into the CFO you will play a pivotal leadership role within the organisation. You'll lead a talented finance team, act as a trusted advisor to the executive team and drive forward innovation in financial systems and reporting.
- Developing and delivering a long-term financial strategy aligned with organisational goals
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and modelling
- Overseeing statutory reporting, audits and compliance with charity finance regulations (SORP, Companies Act)
- Managing treasury, reserves, investments, pensions and tax compliance
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team (approx. 30 colleagues)
- Supporting major projects, tenders, partnerships and financial due diligence
- Partnering with senior leaders on income generation and cost optimisation
- Leading improvements in financial systems, data accessibility and digital tools
- Contributing to sustainability goals and climate-conscious financial leadership
- Applicants must be a qualified Accountant.
