The Qualio team is all-remote, with talented members spanning North America, Europe, and Australia, united by our mission to make compliance a competitive advantage in bringing life-changing products to market.

What’s the opportunity?

The mission of the VP Finance is to act as a thought partner with the CEO and leadership team as the business scales. In addition to taking ownership of our finance function, you will ensure the company understands the core economic drivers of the business and how our actions influence them.

You will be a trusted partner and advisor in guiding and empowering the organization’s decision-making. You will operate as a facilitator and conduit to the Board to ensure that the company optimizes continued profitability and investor value for the long term.

You will be a key member of the leadership team. This is a strategic role critical to achieving the company’s growth plan, and you have proven capability of scaling a high-growth enterprise SaaS business.

What will I be doing?

Strategy: Act as a thought partner with the CEO and leadership team on how we can drive better company performance.

Business partner: Partner effectively with other orgs on finance and strategy, ensuring that teams understand their budgets and financial performance indicators.

Planning: Own/run the planning process. Use data analysis to inform business strategy, financial models, and how we scale our global finance infrastructure.

Process: Own and optimize the finance function across our existing entities (USA and IRL), including cash flow planning, financial closes, and AP and AR processes.

Governance: Ensure correct financial governance, control, and legal processes are in place.

Examples of activities

  • Capture, analyze, and deliver financial data and insights that maximize the strategic decision-making of the CEO, executive leadership, and board.
  • Effectively build relationships, and collaborate with the investors and the Board.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including project spending analysis, revenue and margin analysis, and relevant performance metric / economic indicator tracking.
  • Build and lead a highly effective finance team
  • Provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable, data-driven recommendations on strategy and operations.
  • Identify the business's economic levers and critical metrics, drive financial insight and rigor around those initiatives, and deploy an intimate understanding of high-growth SaaS revenue recognition rules.
  • Lead the optimization of accounting budgeting and planning systems, as well as business intelligence tools to streamline reporting and support business growth objectives. Ensure accurate reporting and forward-looking perspectives.
  • Spearhead capital allocation and resource management-related activities with executives
What skills do I need?
  • Progressive finance leadership experience, with demonstrated success scaling finance operations in high-growth environments
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV) with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
  • Proven track record building and leading high-performing finance teams while effectively influencing across the organization
  • Experience presenting to boards and investors, with excellent communication skills for translating financial concepts to various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated implementation or optimization of financial systems and processes to support business scaling
  • Experience developing sophisticated financial models, scenario analyses, and forecasts that drive strategic decision-making
  • Strong judgment in resource allocation and investment prioritization
  • Experience with venture funding processes and the financial requirements of growth-stage companies
  • History of cross-functional partnership and ability to align financial strategy with overall business objectives
  • Track record of maintaining strong financial controls and governance
  • Matching 401k
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits
  • Dependent & Health FSA, Short/Long Term Disability, Basic & Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Unlimited PTO policy
  • Company allowance for home office supplies
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • Opportunity to make a difference through helping life-saving products get to market
A note to candidates:

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company and we are most interested in finding the BEST candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
